I kind of think that Naruto's repeated use of Nine Tail's chakra has diminished its coolness. In Part 1 of Naruto, it had to be a life or death situation to bring it out. Now, it comes out whenever Naruto's throwing a tantrum. And due to his poor emotional control, he's basically throwing a tantrum every time he gets into a scrap. It's definitely should have stayed as a last line of defence type of thing.
